GRC Pundit Michael Rasmussen to Speak at Lockpath Ready Summit in Kansas City
Keynote to Explore How Organizations Evolve to GRC Maturity
Published on August 18, 2015
OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS — In the evolving regulatory and information security landscape, organizations are struggling to achieve and maintain mature governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) programs. Many organizations fail to recognize that achieving GRC maturity is an evolution, that business processes must be designed to align with the organization, or even what GRC maturity looks like. Finding the right GRC processes, information and technology architecture is a challenge, but it can be done.
To provide insights on how businesses can mature their GRC programs, Michael Rasmussen, The GRC Pundit, will present the Lockpath Ready Summit (LPRS) keynote presentation, “GRC by Design: Maturing Programs Through Strategic Evolution.” LPRS is the inaugural user summit for Lockpath, and will take place Oct. 20-21, 2015, in Kansas City, Mo.
“Enterprises perform GRC processes whether they know it or not, and at different levels of sophistication,” said Rasmussen. “In the LPRS keynote, I’ll be focusing on how organizations can mature their programs by rethinking and designing business processes that best align with the company’s operations and needs.”
The LPRS keynote will cover the following topics:
- Drivers and trends for GRC impacting organizations
- What GRC is and how organizations should approach it
- What GRC maturity looks like
- An organizational approach to GRC architecture and design
Rasmussen owns GRC 20/20 Research, LLC, which provides independent and objective insight into GRC solutions and strategies through objective market research, benchmarking, training and analysis. Rasmussen is credited with coining the term “GRC” and is noted as the “Father of GRC.”
“Due to constantly changing rules, regulations and best practices, organizations are recognizing the need and seeking out ways to mature their GRC processes” said Lockpath CEO and founder, Chris Caldwell. “Rasmussen is highly regarded as an advisor, author and speaker in the space, and his message on GRC maturity will be invaluable to LPRS attendees.”
LPRS will gather users of the award-winning Keylight GRC platform, as well as Lockpath partners and other industry experts, for two days of workshops, customer presentations, solution showcases, and more. For more information on LPRS and to request an invitation, visit http://go.lockpath.com/lprs.
