Lockpath named in Gartner Magic Quadrant for IT Risk Management

Published on March 19, 2015

OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS — The latest independent research shows that Lockpath’s Keylight platform is one of the leading solutions to help organizations automate their IT risk management programs.

Lockpath was one of 11 vendors featured in Gartner Inc.’s report, “Magic Quadrant for IT Risk Management,” published March 10, 2015 by Gartner analysts Paul E. Proctor and John A. Wheeler.

A Gartner Magic Quadrant is a culmination of research in a specific market, providing a wide-angle view of the relative positions of the market’s competitors. To be considered in the IT Risk Management Magic Quadrant, a solution must address four of the following five capabilities: Policy management, compliance reporting/mapping, security operations analysis and reporting, IT risk assessment, and incident management. Keylight can facilitate all five functions.

“IT threats are everywhere and growing every day. Companies expose themselves to more IT risk as they expand their infrastructure. And there are constantly expanding regulatory standards governing IT risk management,” said Chris Caldwell, Chief Executive Officer at Lockpath. “That’s why IT risk management is a core function of our Keylight platform, and we appreciate the recognition of being included in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant.”

Gartner evaluates governance, risk and compliance (GRC) software platforms based on a series of six use cases: IT risk management, operational risk management, vendor risk management, business continuity management planning, audit management and corporate compliance and oversight. Keylight addresses all six use cases and in 2014, Keylight was included in published Magic Quadrant reports for vendor risk management and business continuity management planning and in Gartner’s “Market Guide for Audit Management Solutions.”

Keylight’s user friendly approach to IT risk management includes a suite of integrated applications designed to manage all facets of an organization’s risk program. Keylight also includes a series of connectors to third-party intelligence, scanners, analytics and content feeds that provide valuable data for IT risk management. The platform further simplifies the tasks of IT risk management through its patented Dynamic Content Framework giving users the ability to quickly create custom tables and fields, efficiently modify large sets of records and generate custom reports without development assistance.
