New Syslog integration brings enhanced security visibility to Keylight 4.1
Published on November 13, 2014
OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS — Lockpath, a leader in innovative governance, risk, compliance (GRC) and information security (InfoSec) solutions, today announced that Syslog data is now supported in the Keylight™ platform. The new Syslog Connector allows Keylight customers to view, sort and prioritize large volumes of data sets from security and IT systems without APIs. This data, combined with Keylight’s advanced analysis and reporting capabilities, gives customers the most comprehensive view of their security landscape to date.
Leveraging the newly released Keylight Ambassador, Syslog events from firewalls, IDS/IPS, UTM platforms and SEIMs are brought into the Keylight platform and are filtered and prioritized based on a user-set severity threshold. Users can then view Syslog data against data from other security scanners, manage Syslog events in close to real time, associate events to specific assets, and take action against those events via Keylight’s workflow engine.
“Security organizations are overwhelmed by vast amounts of data generated from numerous security systems deployed across complex networks,” said Chris Goodwin, Chief Technology Officer at Lockpath. “After talking with our customers we discovered that many organizations wanted to get a better handle on event data. They were overwhelmed with event data and struggling to relate it to the business. With the Syslog Connector for Keylight, they can easily surface and report on data from disparate security systems, providing actionable intelligence to information security teams.”
The Syslog Connector is available to Keylight customers for purchase. Visit lockpath.com for more information on Lockpath and the Keylight platform. Follow Lockpath on Twitter at @Lockpath and@KeylightGRC for the latest in industry, company and product news.
